Provision Of Basic Necessities Important To Securing Children’s Future  — Council Boss

The Executive Chairman, Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti, Comrade Babatunde Ogunmilugba has congratulated Nigerian children on the occasion of 2023 children’s Day, urging Government and parents to give qualitative education to children for better future . 

Ogunmilugba, said prioritizing proper upbringing of children and formulating policies that would aid their education will drastically reduce societal ills .

Statement made available to Journalists in Ado Ekiti by Lawrence Ibitoye, says children deserve to be celebrated because of their importance in the family and society. 

Adding that children’s future should be properly secured by giving sound education, providing them basic necessities of life such as clothing, feeding, shelter, good healthcare, adequate security and teaching them morals.

According to the LCDA boss, “the basic necessities would aid their dream, which would invariably make Nigeria a safe country, devoid of robbery, kidnapping, hooliganism, cyber crime, raping and other social maladies”

Comrade Ogunmilugba charged the children to face their studies/trades squarely and shun activities that could destroy their Future. He stressed that they should do away with evil company, saying evil company corrupts good manners.

The chairman who reiterated that parents, clerics and Government at all levels have pivotal roles to play in the lives of children, advised them to play their parts well for brighter future of the children which would be beneficial to Nigeria at the long run.

Comrade Ogunmilugba, however berated parents who relinquish their parental roles to nannies and house helps thereby endangering the lives of children and wards.

Highlighting his interventions on the education of students in Ifeloju Local Council Development Area, Ilupeju Ekiti, Comrade Ogunmilugba provided ‘special children’ with school uniforms, sandals and stationeries.

Free coaching for Secondary school Students and JAMB candidates in the five towns that make up the LCDA. Also, the chairman facilitated  admission of students that excelled in their JAMB into tertiary institutions. While some indigents but brilliant students both in secondary and tertiary institutions were given Education Support Fund among others.

The chairman prayed God to spare the children as they grow to become responsible citizens in life and wished them Happy children’s Day.
