
Afrobeats star and Grammy nominee, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has shared a touching story from his early music journey, revealing that he once ran errands for music legends Don Jazzy and D’Banj.
In a now-viral video clip, the singer reflected on his formative years in Atlanta between 2007 and 2009, when he was still finding his path in the music industry.
“In Atlanta, 2007 or 2008 or 2009… In my father’s house, I was freestyling for Don Jazzy and D’Banj,” Davido said. “He [Don Jazzy] sent me to go and buy McDonald’s with my papa car — Rolls-Royce.”
