FG To Introduce Digital CERPAC Card August 1

In a statement issued by the Service’s Public Relations Officer, Assistant Comptroller of Immigration Akinsola Akinlabi, the NIS said the move is part of the Federal Government’s ongoing reforms to modernise and improve immigration services.

“The new portal — https://cerpac.immigration.gov.ng — will enable applicants to submit their CERPAC applications online,” Akinlabi said.

He added that the transition to the digital system is aimed at improving transparency, efficiency, and the overall experience of users.

Deadline for Paper-Based Applications

The Service warned that from August 1, 2025, the use of physical CERPAC forms will be discontinued.

“All CERPAC applications after July 31st, 2025, must be submitted solely through the online portal,” the statement read.

Akinlabi advised applicants who have already paid for but are yet to submit their CERPAC forms to do so before the July 31st deadline to avoid losing their application status and payments.

“Similarly, the NIS advises individuals and companies assuming Immigration Responsibility for expatriates to complete all pending submissions within the stipulated time frame to avoid any inconvenience.

“Consequently, any CERPAC form not submitted after the deadline will be rendered void and invalid,” he added.

The NIS urged the public to direct all enquiries on the new process to the office of the Public Relations Officer.
