Ekiti Govt Fixes Date for Teachers’ Recruitment Exercise

In a statement issued in Ado Ekiti , the Permanent Secretary, Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Mr Michael Boluwade, said the written test will hold at Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, and advised all applicants to arrive at the venue by 8:00am for accreditation.

He explained that the exercise is the second stage of the recruitment process aimed at selecting qualified academic and non-academic staff for the state’s secondary schools.

Boluwade noted that only applicants who scored the required cut-off marks in the recently conducted Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be invited for the examination.

According to him, the cut-off mark for all subject areas and non-teaching positions is 50 per cent, while Mathematics is pegged at 40 per cent.

He urged candidates to check their email addresses or the recruitment portal for further details regarding the examination schedule.

The permanent secretary also cautioned against impersonation and any form of malpractice, warning that anyone caught will face strict disciplinary action.

He stated that only candidates who come with a coloured printout of their registration slip and CBT result will be allowed to sit for the exam.
