President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has requested the Senate to confirm the nomination of Mr. Thompson Oludare Sunday as the new Managing Director of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC).
In a formal letter read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during Wednesday’s plenary, President Tinubu also sought confirmation for the appointment of Mr. Kabir Sabo Kataka as Executive Director of the Corporation.
Following the reading of the letter, the Senate President referred the nominations to the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions for screening and further legislative action.
The committee is expected to report back to the chamber as soon as possible.
