The Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission, Ekiti State, Mrs. Titilayo Toba-Ojo, has admonished the Heads of Local Government Administration in the State to remain disciplined, dedicated and loyal to the Governor Biodun Oyebanji – led administration.
The Perm. Sec, gave the admonition on Wednesday during the monthly peer review meeting of the body of the Heads of Local Government Administration (HLAs), held in Efon Local Government, Ekiti State.
Mrs Toba-Ojo, who stated that the HLAs have a lot to do in translating government’s policies into reality as the Accounting Officers in the Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas, explained that such enormous task can only be carried out both effectively and successfully by a disciplined, dedicated and loyal officers.
Similarly, Hon. Adetunjj Stephen Olabode, who was in attendance at the meeting as Technical Advisor to the Governor, urged the HLAs to be focused and accountable at all times just as the PS has earlier advised, saying they have to be very competent, understand the dynamics of government relations, and live by example as the head.
In his welcome address, the Executive Chairman of Efon Local Government, Hon. Afolabi Segun Ezekiel, appreciated the HLAs for deeming it fit to organize peer review meeting.
He pledged that Efon Efon Local Government would support them and place high premium on the professionalism of the body.
The co-ordinator of the body, Mr. Aina Olusesan appreciated all the guests speaker as he promised on behalf of his colleagues, their total loyalty to the government of the day.
