AMVCA 2025: Femi Adebayo Wins Best Actor Award

This latest win confirms Adebayo’s place as one of the most talented and respected figures in the Nigerian film industry. His performance in Seven Doors drew wide praise from critics and fans for its emotional depth, strong delivery, and captivating interpretation.

The Best Lead Actor category was highly competitive, featuring top names like Gideon Okeke (Tokunbo), Bucci Franklin (The Weekend), Femi Branch (House of Ga’a), Thapelo Makoena (Skeleton Coast), Bimbo Manuel (Princess on a Hill), Stan Nze (Suspicion), and Adedimeji Lateef (Lisabi: The Uprising).

The AMVCA, organised annually by MultiChoice, celebrates excellence in African film, television, and digital content. This year’s edition was held in Lagos and broadcast live across all Africa Magic channels.

Winners are selected through a combination of public voting and a professional jury panel. The 2025 nominations covered works released between January 1 and December 31, 2024.
