As a professional body committed to promoting effective communication, mutual understanding and positive relationships between institutions and their publics, the Institute said it appreciates the importance of purposeful leadership and constructive engagement in building a progressive society.

It expressed hope that the Governor’s second term will further strengthen the relationship between government and the people through open communication, transparency, accountability and sustained engagement with stakeholders across the state.

The Institute also expressed hope that the administration will continue to create opportunities for young people, support professional development, improve the welfare of citizens and advance the overall development of Ekiti State.

The NIPR said as an association of communication professionals and reputation managers, it remains committed to contributing its professional expertise towards strengthening public communication, promoting responsible information management and fostering public understanding of government policies and programmes.

It added that it looks forward to opportunities for constructive collaboration in the collective interest of the state, while wishing the Governor God’s continued wisdom, good health, strength and grace as he steers the affairs of Ekiti State for another four years.

In a separate letter also dated November 4, 2026, the Institute congratulated Mr Yinka Oyebode on his reappointment as Chief Press Secretary and Special Adviser on Media to the Governor.

It expressed confidence that his reappointment will provide an opportunity to build on the experience and relationships he has developed over the years, while bringing fresh energy to the task of ensuring that government policies, programmes and activities are communicated clearly and responsibly.

The NIPR said it recognises the importance of his office and looks forward to continued cordial relations and constructive collaboration in advancing professional public relations practice and strengthening communication between the government and the people.
