Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has commiserated with the member representing Ado-Ekiti Constituency I in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Ayodeji Adegbite, over the death of his mother, Chief (Mrs) Stella Adekemi Adegbite.

The late Madam Adegbite, wife of the pioneer Registrar of Ondo State University, now Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, Chief Johnson George Oladeji Adegbite, died on Monday at the age of 82.

Governor Oyebanji, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Yinka Oyebode, described her death as a huge loss not only to her immediate family but to the people of Ado-Ekiti and Ekiti State at large.
He said the deceased would be remembered for her candour, character, industry, communal service and for being a strong pillar of support and moral compass for her family and community.
The Governor noted that the late Madam Adegbite was a godly woman who positively touched lives and contributed to the upbringing and development of many young men and women beyond her biological children.
According to him, she immortalised herself in the hearts of the people through the worthy legacies she left behind in her eventful lifetime.
Oyebanji prayed God to uphold her husband, Chief Adegbite, her son, Hon. Adegbite, and other members of the family mourning the matriarch, noting that only God can mitigate the loss.
He urged the family to be consoled by the positive impact she made and a life well lived.
Meanwhile, the Governor on Tuesday paid a condolence visit to the family at their GRA residence in Ado-Ekiti, where he was received by the widower, Chief Adegbite, and his son, Hon. Adegbite.
