The Makinde-Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation (MDPCO) has appointed state directors across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The organisation said the appointments would support the campaign of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, and his running mate, Lawal Musa Daura, while promoting their proposed “Reset Nigeria” agenda.
The Director-General of the campaign organisation, Hon. Felix Hassan Hyat, announced the appointments in a statement issued on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the newly appointed directors are expected to coordinate campaign activities and promote the organisation’s message in their respective states.
Full List of State Directors
The organisation appointed Hon. Ikpegbu Emeka Yellow as Abia State director and Barr. A.T. Shehu as Adamawa State director.
Hon. Dr. Innocent Udom was named director for Akwa Ibom State, while Echezona Agba will coordinate the campaign in Anambra State. Yusuf Garba was appointed Bauchi State director, while Mr Suoyo Owei will oversee Bayelsa State.
In the North-Central region, Comrade David Fiase was named Benue State director, while Usman Danladi Ibrahim will coordinate the campaign in Kogi State. Hon. Gani Tele was appointed Kwara State director, Dr Abubakar Mohammed, popularly known as IBB, will oversee Nasarawa State, and Hon. Engr. Emmanuel Wokrit Goladi will coordinate activities in Plateau State.
For the North-East, Hon. Peter Sabo, also known as Haske, was appointed Borno State director. Alh. Adamu Mohd Manga will oversee Gombe State, while Alh. Saad Mohammed was named Taraba State director.
In the North-West, Hon. Magaji Jarma was appointed Kaduna State director, while Sule Abdu will coordinate the campaign in Kano State. Alh. Danjuma Bawa was named Katsina State director, Shehu Kudu will oversee Kebbi State, and Umar Aliyu was appointed Zamfara State director. Ahmed Yahaya will coordinate activities in Sokoto State, while Adamu Gwaram was named Jigawa State director.
In the South-East, Hon. Igwe Godwin Abeng was appointed Cross River State director, Daniel Ekorhi will coordinate the campaign in Delta State, and Udokanma Elias was named Ebonyi State director. Chief Jonjude Okeke will oversee Imo State, while Chinwendu Orduwa was appointed Rivers State director.
For the South-West, Abiodun Michael Bamikole was named Ekiti State director, while Dr Layi Ogunbambi will coordinate the campaign in Lagos State. Comrade Dr Sanyaolu Abayomi was appointed Ogun State director, Hon. Faboyede Clement will oversee Ondo State, Comrade Seyi Bamidele was named Osun State director, and Dr Nureni Adeniran will coordinate the campaign in Oyo State.
Bello Osaretin was appointed director for the Federal Capital Territory.
Inauguration Deadline
The campaign organisation directed its zonal coordinators to inaugurate the newly appointed state directors in their respective zones on or before Saturday, October 17, 2026.
The appointments form part of the organisation’s preparations to establish campaign structures across the country ahead of the 2027 elections. The effectiveness of the structures will depend on how the directors coordinate their activities and engage voters in their respective locations.
