Forever In Our Hearts!

“No matter how long we live, we’ll never forget the moments that made our hearts skip a beat.”

Daddy, yours was not an exception. Today marks twelve years since you departed this sinful world to be with your Maker on 14th October, 2014, yet your exit created a vacuum that is yet to be filled. Your memories remain evergreen in our hearts.
Late Pa Amos Akinlabi Alade was born on 4th September, 1941 into the family of Alade in Iyin-Ekiti. His father was Late Chief Jacob Alade and his mother was Late Madam Felicia Ola Alade. He was born and bred in Iyin-Ekiti, in Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
Raised as a farmer, he could not acquire formal education at an early age due to financial constraints. However, driven by an uncommon passion for education, he later enrolled for adult education, which enabled him to read and write Yoruba Language fluently.
That milestone paved the way for his marriage to his beloved wife, Mrs. Florence Fehintola Alade, in January 1973. He later moved to Ado-Ekiti where he learnt carpentry and furniture making. After his graduation, he relocated to Ilorin, Kwara State, where he established his furniture workshop and distinguished himself as a successful carpenter and furniture maker.
Through diligence, integrity and the influence of friends, he grew to become a General Contractor in Engineering, Transportation, Building Construction and Supply of Building Materials. He also retained his passion for farming.
Late Pa Alade was an Anglican by birth. He was baptized in 1956 and had his confirmation in 1991. He was a devoted Christian and a committed member of Bishop Smith Anglican Church, Ilorin, Kwara State, where he served as Assistant Leader of the Alafia Band.
He was a loving father, a disciplinarian and a man of faith who trained and nurtured his children in the way of the Lord. He lived a life of industry, honesty, humility and service to God and humanity.
He is survived by wives, children and grandchildren.
Daddy, you lived well, you laboured well, and your legacy of hard work, faith and love lives on. Though you are gone from our sight, you will never be gone from our hearts.
Continue to rest in the bosom of your Creator till we meet to part no more.
Forever missed and deeply loved by your children.
