President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, have embarked on a state visit to France at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, November 27, via a post on X (formerly Twitter) by Olusegun Dada, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Social Media.
During the visit, President Tinubu is expected to be received at the historic Les Invalides, a 350-year-old French military museum in Paris. The First Lady will also accompany him to the venue.
The Macrons will host the Nigerian President and his delegation at the Palais de l’Élysée, where ceremonial events have been planned to mark the state visit.
Following the ceremonial reception, bilateral discussions between the two leaders will take place, focusing on strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between Nigeria and France.
The visit underscores ongoing efforts to deepen ties between the two nations, with both leaders expected to discuss key areas of collaboration.
