Afrobeats sensation, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has celebrated a major achievement in his music career after hitting over 11 million monthly listeners on Spotify for the first time.
The milestone comes shortly after the release of his fifth studio album, 5ive, which has been receiving massive global attention.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) page, the multi-award-winning singer expressed deep gratitude to his fans and reflected on his humble beginnings in the industry.
“No co-sign, built from the ground up! Just God, good music and the best fans! Appreciate you guys fr [for real]!” Davido wrote.
The singer also emotionally acknowledged his late son, Ifeanyi, saying in another post: “My late son Ifeanyi came back through my twin boy.”
Davido’s consistent rise on the global music scene continues to inspire many, as he cements his place among Africa’s top musical exports.
