Preparations have been concluded for the arrival of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday for a one-day working visit.
Senator Tinubu will be accompanied by the Wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, along with several state First Ladies and senior government officials. She will be received by Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, and his wife, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, as well as other top state officials.

During the visit, the First Lady will commission a newly constructed ICT Centre at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, facilitated by the Renewed Hope Initiative. She is also scheduled to meet with traditional rulers under the Ekiti State Traditional Rulers’ Council.
Senator Tinubu will later flag off the All Progressives Congress Women Campaign Rally for Governor Oyebanji’s re-election at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, Ado-Ekiti.
Through the Renewed Hope Initiative, Senator Tinubu has implemented no fewer than 16 interventions in Ekiti State since 2023, targeting women, youths, students, farmers, vulnerable households, small-scale businesses, and persons with disabilities. The interventions include material support and financial empowerment programmes.
Ekiti State First Lady, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, inspected the Ekiti Airport, EKSU campus, and the rally venue on Friday to assess preparations. She expressed optimism that the visit would be historic and memorable for the state.
