The Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, has called on Muslim faithful to offer fervent prayers for an end to the insecurity threatening peace and stability across Nigeria.
In his goodwill message to Muslims celebrating this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, the monarch said all stakeholders must unite to tackle kidnappings, killings, and other violent crimes affecting citizens nationwide.

“The current situation has created fear in the hearts of the people, even during celebrations. Many now live with the fear of the unknown,” Oba Adejugbe said.
He urged the federal, state, and local governments, traditional rulers, and religious leaders to work together urgently to end insurgency and restore Nigeria as a safe and livable country.
Congratulating the Muslim community, the Ewi noted that Islam is a religion of peace, love, and sacrifice, values exemplified by Prophet Muhammad. He said the essence of Eid-el-Kabir, which commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah, should inspire Nigerians to show love, live peacefully, and care for the vulnerable.
Oba Adejugbe extended his prayers to all Muslims, asking Almighty Allah to accept their sacrifices and good deeds, and to bring an end to the activities of criminal groups in the country.
