Controversial singer Portable claimed he was cheated after losing a celebrity boxing match to comedian Carter Efe on Thursday night, before quickly shifting headlines by announcing the birth of his latest child.
The Zazuu crooner took to Instagram hours after the bout, alleging unfair officiating in the exhibition fight held in Lagos.

“I was cheated. Everybody saw it. But we move,” Portable said in a video posted to his 4.3 million followers.
The match, part of a growing trend of influencer boxing events in Nigeria, ended with Carter Efe declared winner by judges’ decision. Fans packed the venue, with clips of the fight trending on X and TikTok overnight.
In the same post, Portable switched tone to celebrate personal news: “Meanwhile, God has blessed me with another baby. My family keeps growing. Zeh Nation to the world.”
This marks at least the fifth child the singer has publicly announced. He did not share details about the mother or the baby’s name.
Portable, real name Habeeb Okikiola, has built a brand on controversy and virality, from music feuds to public altercations. His foray into boxing follows similar moves by influencers leveraging sport for entertainment and revenue.
Carter Efe has not yet responded to the cheating allegations. Organizers said the event was sanctioned and officiated under standard exhibition rules.
