A call for accountable leadership and an end to political imposition dominated Otunba Oluwadare Owolabi’s consultation tour of Ekiti North Senatorial District, which concluded this week across 56 wards in five local government areas.

The tour recorded strong attendance from party leaders, youth groups, women’s associations, and community stakeholders. Constituents consistently rejected absentee representation, stating that elected officials must deliver visible results rather than return only during election season.

Residents also dismissed “manufactured endorsements” and emphasized that voters, not political forces, will decide their preferred candidate. Concerns were raised about community dependence on private individuals for support, which attendees attributed to a lack of effective representation.

Addressing the gatherings, Owolabi committed to providing quality representation and restoring public trust through purposeful leadership centered on constituents’ welfare.
