The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.
The announcement was made on Monday, August 4, 2025, via the Council’s verified X (formerly Twitter) handle.
In a statement, WAEC said, “The West African Examinations Council is pleased to inform candidates who sat for WASSCE for School Candidates, 2025, that the results have officially been released today, Monday, August 4, 2025.”
Candidates who participated in the examination are advised to check their results online through the Council’s official portal at www.waecdirect.org.
How to Check 2025 WASSCE Results
WAEC also provided a simple step-by-step guide to help candidates access their results online:
- Visit www.waecdirect.org
- Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number
(This is your 7-digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number e.g. 4123456789)
For exams before 1999, use the 8-digit format (5-digit centre number + 3-digit candidate number).
- Enter your Examination Year (e.g., 2025)
- Select your Examination Type (e.g., School Candidate)
- Enter your e-PIN Voucher Number
- Enter the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on the e-PIN
- Click on Submit and wait for the result to be displayed.
WAEC urged candidates to ensure all details are correctly entered for successful access. The Council also advised schools and parents to support candidates in verifying their results early.
