Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, All Progressives Congress, APC, governors, national leaders of the party, National Assembly members, ministers, and supporters are expected in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, for the grand finale rally of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election campaign.
The rally will hold at Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, New Iyin Road, Ado-Ekiti, from 11:00 a.m., the BAO Election Campaign Council said in a statement on Tuesday.

Organisers said the event marks the climax of a statewide campaign that covered all wards and local government areas ahead of the June 20 governorship election. They described it as a demonstration of support for Oyebanji’s second-term bid and his running mate, Chief Monisade Afuye.
The Council said the rally follows endorsements by traditional rulers, professional bodies, market groups, artisans, youths, women, civil servants, retirees, religious leaders, and political stakeholders across party lines.
“The anticipated presence of the Vice President and APC governors reflects the strategic importance of Ekiti to the party and underscores confidence in Governor Oyebanji’s performance and capacity to consolidate the gains of his administration,” the Council stated.
It added that Oyebanji’s administration had received acclaim for projects in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, youth empowerment, security, tourism, and economic development over the last four years.
The Council said the grand finale would celebrate the administration’s achievements and affirm the resolve of Ekiti people to sustain peace, stability, and inclusive governance.
“The rally will be a powerful statement of unity and a clear signal that Ekiti people are determined to consolidate the gains recorded over the last four years,” it said.
The Council urged APC members and supporters to attend peacefully and comply with security and traffic directives. It assured participants of adequate security and logistics arrangements.
