The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has introduced fresh conditions for Nigerian applicants seeking tourist visas, limiting eligibility to those between the ages of 18 and 45.
The new policy, communicated to travel agents this week, comes months after the UAE lifted a two-year visa ban on Nigerian citizens.
Applicants aged 45 and above must now present a personal bank statement showing at least $10,000 or its naira equivalent over a six-month period.
Travelers were also advised to ensure their documents—including hotel bookings and passport data pages—comply with the new requirements before submitting applications.
The UAE did not state how long the new policy will last or whether it will be reviewed in the near future.
