Governor Biodun Oyebanji has officially kicked off construction of the Ekiti State Inland Revenue Service (EKIRS) South Zonal Office in Ise-Ekiti.

Represented by Hon. AVM (Rtd) Ojuawo Rufus Adeniyi, Oyebanji emphasized the project’s role in boosting tax administration and service delivery.

EKIRS South Zonal Head, Mr. Olaniran Olatona, cited the need for a modern facility, saying the current office is overstretched.

“A conducive workspace enhances efficiency,” he said, targeting completion by March 2026.
Hon. Adeniyi praised EKIRS’ performance, stressing taxation as a civic duty: “Ekiti’s people have shown compliance.” He urged building a storey structure, planning “with the future in mind.”

The Arinjale of Ise-Ekiti, via Odofin Chief Busuyi Ajayi, thanked Oyebanji for “purposeful leadership,” pledging community support.
Commissioners Otunba Kayode Fasae and Hon. Femi Ajayi (both from Ise/Orun LGA) backed the project, calling it vital for revenue growth.

Olatona assured that stakeholders suggestions will shape the “standard facility.”
