An Ondo State Magistrate Court has arraigned a hunter for allegedly shooting and killing a victim in the back.
The prosecution told the court that the offence violates Section 316 and is punishable under Section 319 of the Criminal Code, Cap 37, Volume 1, Laws of Ondo State, 2006.
Prosecuting counsel Oniyere asked the court to remand the defendant at the Olokuta Correctional Centre pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Defence counsel G.O. Falana did not oppose the remand application but sought permission to file counter-affidavits.
Magistrate Olusola Olujobi adjourned the case to May 18, 2026, for hearing of the remand application and ordered that the defendant remain in police custody until the defence processes are filed.
