Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for Ikole Constituency 1 in Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Honourable Damola Olakunle Olonitola, has pledged to address unemployment, poor infrastructure, and weak support for agriculture as he seeks election into public office.
In a statement issued, Olonitola said many graduates in the state are struggling to find meaningful employment and are forced to take up low-income jobs such as commercial motorcycle riding due to limited economic opportunities.

He noted that residents also face serious challenges, including poor road networks, unreliable telecommunications services, and inadequate support for the agricultural sector.
According to him, these challenges continue to affect families and communities across the state.
“These issues cannot be ignored. The people deserve practical solutions, effective leadership, and a clear plan for a better future,” Olonitola said.
He urged voters to support his candidacy, describing himself as “a voice for progress, development, and positive change.”
Olonitola said his administration would prioritize job creation, infrastructure development, and investment in agriculture to improve livelihoods and stimulate economic growth.
