Popular Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux, has opened up on why he and his Nigerian partner, Priscilla Ojo, have had several wedding ceremonies across different locations.
Speaking in a video making the rounds online, Jux explained that the multiple weddings were his way of honouring every place that played a significant role in their love journey.
So far, the lovebirds have had up to six wedding events, and Jux hinted that he wanted even more. However, he admitted that Priscilla was already exhausted due to the stress of dressing up for each occasion, especially with the combination of traditional and modern bridal outfits.
“This is the final round, the big one. I call it the final one because my wife is tired already. Five to six weddings are not even enough for me. I wanted more, even to visit the place where we first met, but she has no energy left. She has tried,” he said.
Jux also acknowledged the challenges his bride has faced during the celebrations, saying, “She always tells me, ‘It’s easy for you because you’re wearing a suit. You don’t go through much like I do.’ I understand her.”
One of Priscilla’s standout wedding gowns was designed by Nigerian fashion designer, Veekee James.
The grand finale of their wedding celebrations is scheduled to take place on May 28, 2025, in Tanzania. Jux promises it will be a memorable event.
“Tanzania is the final one, the last one, and because it’s the final one, I’ll put everything into it. It’s going to be crazy. My friends from Uganda, Kenya, China, the USA, and even Tanzania are all coming,” he said.
