JAMB Opens 2025 UTME Registration January 26, Fixes Deadline Date

The JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed this on Saturday in Lagos during a meeting with Commissioners for Education ahead of the 2025 UTME and Direct Entry exercises.

Oloyede explained that the sale of the UTME application document, known as the ePIN, would begin before the official registration window. According to him, ePIN sales will run from January 19 to February 26, while actual registration will commence on January 26.

He also announced that the option to select the mock examination would close on February 16, adding that the sale of Direct Entry application documents and ePIN vending would begin on March 2 and end on April 25.

On the release of results, the registrar said UTME results of underage candidates would only be made public after the completion of a full evaluation process, unlike previous years.

He said this was to ensure a thorough assessment of candidates seeking age-related waivers.

Oloyede further revealed that all CBT centres participating in the registration exercise would be monitored live from JAMB headquarters, warning that centres whose activities could not be viewed would not be paid and might have their registrations invalidated.

He disclosed that 924 CBT centres had been provisionally approved, noting that they would still undergo a final test before full accreditation for the 2025 UTME registration and examination.

The registrar also clarified that candidates are not required to pay any service charge to CBT centres, stressing that only the registration fees approved by the board should be paid.

Addressing concerns over examination posting, Oloyede assured candidates that JAMB does not post candidates outside the towns selected during registration, though he advised early registration to avoid limitations in town choices.

He warned candidates to honestly declare any previous registration or admission history with the board, noting that running more than one undergraduate programme at the same time is a criminal offence.

On age eligibility, Oloyede said candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, to qualify for admission, adding that underage candidates would only be considered after undergoing a rigorous evaluation process and meeting strict performance benchmarks.
