Four Attack Helicopters Will Arrive Soon, Community, State Police ‘Reality’ – Tinubu

The President disclosed this on Friday while receiving a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his residence in Lagos.

Tinubu explained that although the helicopters have been ordered from the United States, delivery would take some time, adding that the Federal Government has also reached out to Turkey for support to strengthen Nigeria’s security capacity.

He noted that delays in acquiring military equipment have affected public perception of the administration’s commitment to addressing insecurity, stressing that such hardware is expensive and not readily available.

The President further assured that community and state policing would soon become a reality, once the National Assembly completes the necessary legislative process.

According to him, the government remains determined to restore peace and stability across the country, despite the tactics being used by bandits and insurgents.

Tinubu also called on CAN and other stakeholders to work closely with his administration, emphasising the need for cooperation, vigilance and prayers to overcome the nation’s security challenges.
