Nigeria’s ruling party recorded early wins inside the Presidential Villa axis as results from select polling units in the ongoing Federal Capital Territory area council elections showed a clear lead.
Officials announced that the All Progressives Congress secured 24 votes at a polling unit located on Kofo Abayomi Street near the Officers Mess within the Villa precinct, while the African Democratic Congress polled five votes.

At another polling unit serving the Presidential Villa and the Police Affairs Commission area, the APC extended its advantage with 32 votes, leaving the ADC with 11 votes and the Peoples Democratic Party trailing with two.
Election observers described the voting process in the high-security zone as orderly, noting that turnout was modest but steady as officials completed accreditation and counting without disruption.
Authorities said collation would continue across other wards in the territory, with broader results expected as counting progresses throughout the council elections.
