In a heartwarming celebration, family, friends, and colleagues bid farewell to Dr. Olajumoke Oguntoye, retiring Director and State Health Educator of Ekiti State, at a send-off party hosted by National Association of Health Educators (NAHE), Ekiti Chapter.
The event honored her 35 years of service, marked by love, honesty, and passion.

NAHE Chair Comrade Iyabo Ogundola praised Dr. Oguntoye as “respectful, compassionate, intelligent, brave, and hardworking,” crediting her transparency for the agency’s successes.
Mr. S.T. Olajide (EKSPHCDA) described her as “beautiful, bold, brave, brilliant, and courageous,” recalling her insistence on retiring to focus on family and faith.
Speakers highlighted NAHE’s growth under her leadership: promotions, increased membership (26 to 80), and enhanced recognition.
Dr. Oguntoye, overwhelmed by the tribute, urged health educators to prioritize community work, saving lives and eradicating diseases in Ekiti.
Present were representatives of UNICEF, WHO, EKSPHCDA board, and NAHE members. “She proved doubters wrong, retiring in good health,” said predecessor Mrs. Ajayi.
Dr. Oguntoye thanked God, colleagues, and partners, promising to support Ekiti’s health mission post-retirement.
