Ekiti APC Reps Aspirant Dr. Yemi Olayinka Congratulates Sola Fatoba on Victory

In a statement issued on Monday, Olayinka said he accepted the result as declared by party officials and described himself as a democrat and loyal party member.

Olayinka contested the primary alongside incumbent Rep. Sola Fatoba, Architect Tope Ogunleye, and Hon. Sunday Ola. Fatoba, the incumbent lawmaker, was declared the winner.

“I hereby congratulate Hon. Sola Fatoba for his victory in the well-contested primary election in Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1,” Olayinka said.

“I would like to appreciate other contestants in the election, especially Architect Tope Ogunleye and Hon. Sunday Ola. You are all heroes.”

He called on all aspirants to move past the primary and work together for the APC’s success. “Let us all put the election behind us and support our dear party, APC, with the same vigor with which we handled the primary election,” he said.

“As for me, I believe in this democracy. I believe in our party. I believe we can do better in unison. Let us embrace peace. Let us work hard for our victory come June 20.”

Olayinka thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, and the APC National Executive Committee for overseeing what he described as a peaceful primary process. He also pledged his support for Governor Oyebanji’s re-election bid on June 20, calling the date “a date with destiny.”

The aspirant further urged voters in Ekiti Central Senatorial District to back Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, who he said was running unopposed.

“With cooperation of everyone, with one voice, in unity we can all triumph,” he said.
