The General Overseer of Holy Trinity Prophetic Authority Church International, Ado-Ekiti, Prophet James Omitade, has urged Nigerians to move away from blanket condemnation of leaders, stating that such an approach cannot resolve the country’s multifaceted challenges.
Prophet Omitade made the call on Monday, June 1, 2026, during an interactive session with journalists in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

He advised Nigerians, particularly opposition political figures, non-partisan citizens, and social activists, to complement criticism with practical solutions to help address the prevailing economic and security challenges confronting the nation.
The cleric acknowledged that the country is currently facing severe challenges, including banditry, kidnapping, and killings perpetrated by criminal groups. However, he cautioned that persistent condemnation without constructive engagement could worsen the situation.
“While it is important to hold leaders accountable, criticism alone will not subdue the crises around us. Nigerians must also offer ideas and solutions that can help government and institutions find lasting solutions to economic hardship and insecurity,” Prophet Omitade said.
He lamented the persistence of insecurity and economic hardship, and called on all stakeholders to prioritize national interest and collective action in addressing the country’s problems.
Holy Trinity Prophetic Authority Church International is a Christ-based ministry located in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State. The church is committed to spiritual development, community service, and advocacy for peace and national unity.
