Your Govt Has Given Hope To Ekiti Youth — Commissioner Tells Oyebanji       … congrats governor on one year in office

As Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, clocks one year in the saddle of governance, the Ekiti State Commissioner for Youth Development , Hon. Gold Adesola Adedayo, has described the governor’s reign as a colossal benefit to the youth.

Adedayo stated that Governor Oyebanji, had in the last one year been a source of inspiration to Ekiti youth through initiation of youth- friendly policies that are making the productive population relevant in governance, politics, economy and other pivotal sectors of the society.

The Commissioner said this in Ado Ekiti, on Monday, in his congratulatory message to the Governor on the occasion of his First Anniversary in office, having been sworn-in on October 16, 2022.

Adedayo expressed delight with the way Governor Oyebanji has been pursuing the continuity agenda of his administration, by building on the rocky foundation laid by the progressive government of Dr. Kayode Fayemi, thereby  expanding the frontiers of progressive politics and governance in Ekiti.

Having a retrospect of the last 12 months, Adedayo saluted Oyebanji for preparing propitious grounds for youth to be engaged in the civil service by recruiting over 3,000 as employees of government, saying this will help to curtail criminalities and outcries over pervasive neglect of the youth.

Adedayo specifically commended Governor Oyebanji for entering into partnership with various international bodies, especially the  Newwaive Solutions, a United States of America based Non governmental organisation, to expose youth industrialists to financial literacy programme that can sharpen their skills and mental capacity in the growth of Nano, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises .

The Commissioner added that, other Governor Oyebanji’s landmark achievements like aggressive payment of salaries and gratuities to workers and retirees, road infrastructure, Youth in commercial agriculture, digital economy , arts and culture and respect for traditional rulers, have become a benchmark and model of governance across the country.

Making copious allusion to Governor Oyebanji’s mantra of purposeful leadership and zero tolerance for corruption, Adedayo posited that the governor’s spartan and prudent  lifestyle as well as penchant for open door policy, has raised the bar of governance and performance index among government’s appointees.

“Let me on behalf of myself and the Ministry Congratulate his Excellency, Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his one-year in the saddle of governance. Evaluating the remarkable impacts you have made in the lives of the populace, your reign could succinctly be described as a blessing to the people.

“You have in the last one year demonstrated purposeful and visionary leadership in a  manner that you are now being taken as a benchmark in governance and you are making the citizens to have the strong belief that stability by way of continuity in governance, is far more profitable  to the people.

“I am particularly elated by the remarkable achievements of this government in building the lives of our productive population on the strength that no nation can progress when youth are being undermined. The governor was of the firm opinion that criminality is not an option to constructive exploration of their enormous potentials.

“This accounted for why Governor Oyebanji had provided them space in governance through political appointments and by way of encouraging them into  farming, arts and culture business, hospitality business and to be owners of flourishing businesses that can add values to the society.

“With what Ekiti has enjoyed in the last one year, it was evident that entrenching of good governance in Ekiti is possible with concerted efforts and cooperation of all the citizens.

“I want to appeal to all Ekiti citizens to disregard attachments to narrow prism of political , ethnic and religious disparities and work hard with Governor Oyebanji to make Ekiti an epicentre of development in comity of states in Nigeria”.
