In its bid to ensure that Ekiti people have good standard of living especially the vulnerable in the society, Yemi Oshe Foundation has doled out cash and food items to the people with disabilities in Ado-Ekiti, the State capital.
While addressing the gathering at the event held at Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday, the Founder, Yemi Oshe Foundation, Mr. Opeyemi Bamidele Omotoyinbo ably represented by his father, High Chief Omotoyinbo, the Odoloro of Ado Ekiti, stated that the gesture became necessary to cushion the effect of the present economic hardship and to ensure that his people are living a healthy life.
He told the beneficiaries not to see the cash and food items given to them as small, saying that it’s the spirit and motive behind it that matters as he urged them to equally keep to the medical advice offered by the medical expert, Dr. Tope Adeyeye, who was there to give talk on Health/wellness, adding that they should take their medications as prescribed.
Omotoyinbo reiterated the commitment of the Foundation in looking into the wellbeing of the people from time to time.
Beneficiaries of the Social security scheme carried out by the Foundation are; Adetolu Christiana physically challenge weight lifter, Taiwo olasunkanmi,Rotawo olusegun, Ajibola Daniel, Muideen taiwo, Israel oladunjoye, Ige Adetayo, Ojo Kemisola, Oluwatoyin Agnes and Damilare Adekunle.
Present at the event among others were; Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment in Ekiti, Hon. Jimlas Kayode Fasae, Special Adviser to Ekiti State Government on Special School and Social inclusion Hon.Mrs Adetoun Agboola and Director, Disability affairs in Ekiti, Mr.Akinlabi Adeyemi
