Suspects

Two suspected yahoo boys have been reportedly caught  in Akure, the Ondo State Capital while allegedly invoking the spirit of late General overseer of a church  who died over ten years ago.

It’s reliably gathered that the incident occurred around 1:00 O’clock in the midnight around the church premises at Sijuwade area of Akure, where the deceased was buried.

The two suspected Yahoo boys were said to have been caught when they were saying incantations to invoke the spirit of  the dead cleric with the intention of sleeping with her.

A source close to the church told newsmen that luck however ran against the suspects as the security guard in the church arrested them.

According to him, one of the Yahoo boys ran away but the other one couldn’t escape and was later handed over to the police at the nearby Ala police station.

Another church member who preferred anonymity confirmed that the incident occurred but the church doesn’t want the matter blown out by the press.

He said: “Yes, it happened actually but it is a case that had been well-handled, we don’t want it publicised. We have involved the leadership of the church and they said they didn’t want to go further on it.”

When contacted, the police Public Relations Officer in Ondo, Mrs Funmi Odunlami said she had called the DPO in Ala police station and he said nothing of such happened in the midnight.
