Senate Addressing Akpabio-Natasha Issue – Oluremi Tinubu

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has assured Nigerians that the Senate is taking the necessary steps to address the controversy surrounding the sexual harassment allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, Mrs Tinubu emphasised the importance of respecting the nation’s legislative institutions, noting that the Senate is capable of handling the matter appropriately.

“As a former senator myself, I believe in the importance of respecting our institutions, even in the face of challenges. The Nigerian Senate, where I served for 12 years, is a mature chamber that deserves our respect,” she stated.

While acknowledging the allegations, she expressed confidence that the Senate is managing the situation effectively.
