S’COURT VICTORY: Okumagba Congratulates Governor Oborevwori, Urges Him To Support Sports

By Michael Ige

Prince Vincent from the Okumagba Royal dynasty of the Urhobos said he believes that Governor Oborevwori will not disappoint the Deltans.

He pointed out that there were people who had been in power but failed to do the needful because they didn’t understand the nature of Delta state.

“Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori should understand the yearnings of Deltans as a pure warri pekin. He should take sports seriously as means of human development and empowerment as well as security, environmental and city beautification.”

Okumagba who doubles as the Vice President of Africa’s Football Supporter’s body also commended the Hon. Kenneth Nwaomucha led board of the Delta state football association, (DFA) for reviving youth sports and building confidence for the people.

He expressed hope that the Governor would develop policies and action plans that will maximise the contribution of sport to national development, pointing out that aside its entertainment value, sports has the proven capacity to teach participants life skills in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.
