SALLAH CELEBRATION: YPP Leadership Felicitates Muslim Faithful In Osun     … Calls on Gov. Adeleke To Develop Infrastructures, Others

In a statement made available to newsmen, the Chairman noted that Eid-el-Kabir, popularly referred to  as ‘Ileya’ festival in Yoruba land, is an annual celebration among Muslims which enjoys special significance because the day marks the climax of Hajj which is the fifth pillar of Islam.

According to the statement, the event strengthens the bond between the Muslim brethren. On the day, the goal in the mind of all is to receive the magnanimous blessings of Allah which symbolises the obedience of Prophet Ibrahim to Allah as he was ready to sacrifice his son, but was later told to use a ram instead.

“It is a time for expressing gratitude, fostering unity, and sharing joy with family, friends, and neighbours. This festival serves as a reminder of the strength found in our diversity and the importance as a state.

“As we come together to celebrate this joyous occasion of Eid- el- Kabir, we extend our heartfelt greetings and best wishes to our Muslim party members and to all the citizens of Osun State.

While praying that the Eid bring peace, prosperity and happiness to all and their loved ones, Honourable Olalekan enjoins all citizens of Osun State to join in celebrating the spirit of togetherness, respect, and mutual understanding that makes the State a harmonious place to live.

“On behalf of Executives, i wish everyone a blessed and joyful Eid. May this celebration be a source of inspiration and hope for a brighter future for us all. Eid Mubarak”! The statement read.

Meanwhile, the Chairman also called on the State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke to give priority to infrastructural development of the State which according to him, if done would attract Investors and stimulate economic growth.

This he pointed out while reacting to the Economic Reality in Osun State in particular and Nigeria at large saying that the economic situation reflects national trends which must be addressed. 

Adding that agriculture should be one of the cornerstone of the state economy, with renewed focus on supporting farmers and enhancing agricultural productivity.

He said the Young progressives party is ever ready and willing to rescue the teeming youth of the state and the general populace from the shackles of the present unprepared government.
