Police Nabs Fifteen Suspected Criminals In Ekiti

As part of the efforts of the Police to rid the State of criminal elements particularly Atikankan area of Ado-Ekiti, the operatives of the Command, on 13/07/2022, clamped down on a group of hoodlums in their criminal hideout at Atikankan, Ado-Ekiti, the State capital.

During the operation carried out by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), fifteen suspected drug dealers, armed robbers and cultists were arrested. They are: Musa Madaki ’35yrs’, Abdullahi Umar ’25yrs’, Shola Adeyemi ’43yrs’, Hawalu Ali ’45yrs’, Usman Amisu ’30yrs’, Haruna Usman ’20yrs’, Yanusa Abubakar ’25yrs’, Usman Lawali ’20yrs’, Ajayi Opeyemi ’20yrs’, Toheeb Isa ’21yrs’, Ajiboye Michael ’19yrs’, Kayode Yinka ’20yrs’, Taiwo Michael ’20yrs’, Jimoh Zarheal ’19yrs’ and David Henry ’36yrs’.

Items recovered from the suspects are: Two locally made single barrel guns, two battle axes, two locally made pistols and some wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp

The suspects confessed to be members of armed robbery gang, illicit drug dealers and cultists.

Statement from the State PPRO, DSP Sunday Abutu, says the suspects shall be arraigned accordingly as soon as investigation is concluded.
