Police Confirms Abduction Of Poly Student In Nasarawa

The Police Command in Nasarawa, has confirmed the abduction of a student of Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic, Lafia, Nasarawa during a robbery incident.

DSP Ramhan Nansel, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) confirmed this to newsmen in Lafia.

According to the PPRO, the command around 10:30pm on Monday, received a distress call of robbery taking place in a house at Ombi 1, Lafia, near the institution.

“The command, on receiving the distress call, immediately drafted his men to the scene, where it was discovered that three people were injured.

“The victims were rushed by the police  to the Dalhatu Araf specialist Hospital (DASH) Lafia for treatment.

“When our personnel returned to the scene of the incident, it was discovered that one Jumoke with surname unknown was missing”,  Nansel added.

He said the command has launched an investigation into the case as the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mohammed Maiyaki, ordered deployment of tactical teams of the command to go after the perpetrators of the act.

He called on the public to provide the command with useful information that can lead to the rescue of the victim and arrest of the perpetrators of the crime.
