Oyebanji Restates Commitment To Using Arts, Culture As Economic Catalysts   …. as he becomes TAMPAN Patron 

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has restated his commitment to using arts and culture as catalysts to contribute to the economy of the state in the areas of job creation and revenue drive.

The Governor stated this during his investiture as the Patron of the Theatre Arts, Motion and Picture Practitioners of Nigeria (TAMPAN) and the inauguration of the new executive members of the state chapter of the body.

Governor Oyebanji noted that his administration values the economic potentials of arts, culture and tourism hence the positioning of the sub-sector as the fifth ladder of the six pillars development agenda to transform Ekiti.

Speaking while receiving the award, the Governor Oyebanji appreciated the leadership of association in the state for counting him worthy of being their patron as well as presenting him with an award.

Represented by Senior Special Assistant on Community Communications, Mrs. Mary Oso-Omotoso, explained that he is passion driven and committed to the development and better standard of living lifestyle for all citizens of the state.

Governor Oyebanji assured TAMPAN in the state of rendering necessary assistance in all aspects required in  moving the Arts, Culture and Tourism forward to boost the economy of the state.

While receiving her own award which is different from the one given to the Governor, Mrs. Oso-Omotoso lauded the leadership of TAMPAN in honoring her as Grassroot Mobilizer of the Year 

The award, according to TAMPAN, bears eloquent testimony to her resourcefulness in term of developing the people’s communities and supporting the present government in propagating the policies of the Oyebanji administration. 

In his remarks, the TAMPAN President, Mr Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr Latin, appreciated Governor Oyebanji for what he has been able to achieve within the short period he assumed office.

He however sought the assistance from the Governor for TAMPAN in Ekiti State hoping that the association would host its annual conference in Ekiti State as done in other states.

Mr Amusan further charged his association members to use Theatre Arts as synergy to project the polices of the state government towards steering the ship of Ekiti State to an enviable height.

In the same vein, Ekiti State TAMPAN Governor,Mr Dada Olasunkanmi, appreciated the Ekiti State Governor and other representatives which included the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Habibat Adubiaro among others for identifying with TAMPAN out of their busy schedule.
