Oye-Ekiti Residents Laud Gov.Oyebanji Over Reconstruction Of Damaged Culvert

The Pinpointnews that the Culvert of the road leading to Oye local government library, INEC office, Oye Egbo High School, Crawford University, Oye-Ekiti and Ire township, has been damaged for over 5 years and residents of Ilodo community have been trying to reach out to the state government for assistance without any result.

Reacting to the new development, the Obalodo of Oye Kingdom, Chief Bamitale Oguntoyinbo who spoke on behalf of the community, expressed utmost gratitude to the state governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for his commitment to improving the life of rural people.

Oguntoyinbo said everyone using the road had suffered over the years until the community leaders of Ilodo community wrote a letter to the state governor for assistance.

” I want to sincerely on behalf of Ilodo community and entire Oye kingdom thank our amiable governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji for approving reconstruction of the damaged culvert of the road in our community.

” The damaged culvert has affected the farmers from transporting their farm produce, it has affected residents, workers in Oye-Ekiti from gaining access to the local government library, INEC office, among other important offices located in the area.

” The community made efforts severally to reconstruct the culvert but it did not yield any meaningful impact until the community leaders in Ilodo quarters, including myself, Mr Femi Babalola,  Mr Samuel Ojo, Mr Sunday Dada, and Mr Olomola Akomolafe, wrote an appeal letter to Governor Biodun Oyebanji some months ago.

“We are delighted that our efforts have yielded positive results for our dear community and we want to thank governor Oyebanji for approving the reconstruction of the damaged culvert,” he said.

Oguntoyinbo therefore assured Governor Oyebanji of Oye-Ekiti people for his second term.

He prayed that God would continually grant him more wisdom to pilot the affairs of Ekiti to a greater and enviable position.
