“Our Organisation Would Continue To Do Its Best To Revamp Education Sector” — NGO Pledges            …  as Ewatomilola Cares Initiative donates to Ekiti pupils

Amidst the prevailing economic hardship in the country, coupled with its biting effect, the Ewatomilola Cares Initiative (ECI), has distributed school uniforms, sandals, notebooks, textbooks, pens, pencils and markers to indigent pupils.

Speaking during the distribution, the Executive Director of the organisation, Ms Ewatomilola Owoeye, said the gesture was borne out of the desire to reduce the spiralling upsurge in the number of out-of-school children in the country.

Represented by Mr Ranti Ogunleye, she explained that the extant economic realities had occasioned excruciating pains for low-income parents, hence the need to offer invaluable help becomes too imperative.

She noted that the organisation would continue to do its best to revamp the education sector through the timely distribution of academic materials.

While applauding the initiative, the Representative of the Ekiti State Government, Mr Oguntuase Lasisi, described the gesture as huge and congenial to nation-building.

Mr Lasisi, who is the Education Secretary of Ikole Local Government Area, expressed delight, stating that the organisation had written its name in the sands of history.

He also advised other well-meaning Nigerians to toe the altruistic path of the organisation.

Corroborating the words of the Education Secretary, the Headmaster of the School, David Oguntuase, extolled the virtues of the donor, adding that the materials will go a long way in ameliorating the pains of the parents of the beneficiaries who are struggling to eke out a better living.

“We thank the Ewatomilola Cares Initiative owned by Ms Ewatomilola Owoeye. We have never had it as good as this since I assumed office at the school”.

“On behalf of the school, we express our sincere appreciation to Miss Owoeye. The pupils and their parents won’t forget the kind gesture”

In their words of appreciation, the Head boy, Laisi Mustapha and the Head girl, Ogunleye Darasimi, thanked ECI for revamping the  hope of parents grappling with the harsh effects of the current economic downturn ravaging the country.

Dignitaries who graced the event were the parents of the Executive Director, Midwife Grace Oluremi,  Chief S.M, Deaconess Olutoyin Owoeye, Mr. Ranti Ogunleye, Miss Fawole Fadeke, Miss Modupe Oladipupo and Mr Famewo Seun.

Others were teachers, non-teaching staff and students of the school.
