Obasanjo Attends Kwankwaso’s Daughter’s Wedding In Kwankwasiyya Cap

Obasanjo’s choice of attire—a red cap associated with the Kwankwasiyya movement—signaled his solidarity with Kwankwaso and the movement.

The high-profile ceremony, held at the Kofar Kudu Emir’s Palace in Kano, was attended by an array of dignitaries, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, and former PDP National Chairman and ex-Bauchi State Governor, Adamu Mu’azu.

The event also drew current and former governors, ministers, legislators, diplomats, and influential business figures from across Nigeria.

The Chief Imam of Kano State, Dr. Sani Zahradeen, officiated the marriage rites, accepting a dowry of ₦1 million. Vice President Kashim Shettima, acting on behalf of the groom, presented the dowry to Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf, who represented the bride.

The wedding festivities continued with an elaborate reception at the Kano State Government House, concluding a day of celebration attended by Nigeria’s political and social elites.
