The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has invited 20 players to camp ahead of the U-19 Girls International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) World Championships.
This is contained in a statement released on the federation’s Facebook account on Thursday, that the players would be camped in Kaduna before leaving for the event.
The statement reports that the FIVB is jointly hosted by Croatia and Hungary. The players are drawn from 10 home based clubs.
“Aishat Abdulraheem, Mariam Usman, Mirabel Onyegwu, Verity Onyegwu, Aliyat Usman and Gift Michael from CNS Spikers.
“Deborah Chukwu, Sarah Ali, Ifeoma Mordi, Sarah Nnaji and Tenacious Frank from COAS Spikers.
“Meanwhile Kada Queens Volleyball club (VC) will miss the services of Marvellous Chilota and Fadilat Ibrahim who will join others in camp as well as Maryam Ibrahim from Niger Raven Club.
“Others are Blessing Unakwe from NSCDC, Ifunanya Udeagbala from Anambra VC, Oluwayemisi Olatunji from Kwara United VC.
“Mary Ishaku joins from Life Camp VC as well as Joy Owoniyi from Olalomi VC and Rachael Adeboye from Jikwoyi Babes VC,” the federation noted.
The World championships is billed for Aug. 1 to 11.
