NUJECO Releases Timetable For 2023  NUJ Election In Ekiti

The Nigeria Union of Journalists Electoral Committee, NUJECO in Ekiti State has fixed December 20, 2023 for the conduct of election into the state council.

NUJECO members announced the date at a meeting held in Ado Ekiti which was presided over by the Chairman, Yaqoub Popoola.

A statement by the committee’s secretary, Mr Amos Ogunrinde says  ban has been lifted on campaign.

According to the time table, screening of the aspirants is slated for Friday this week as well as submission of list of Qualified and financial members by chapel Chairmen to the state Secretariat of the union.

Also, claims and objections have been fixed for November 27 and 28.

The statement therefore appeals to all the contestants  to make their Campaigns issue-based and shun any act capable of denting the image of Ekiti NUJ.
