Late Afuye

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations,  _*NIPR*_ Ekiti State Chapter, has commiserated the family and State government on the sudden demise of the Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Funminiyi Afuye.

A Statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Ekiti chapter of NIPR noted that the death of the speaker at this time was a great loss, not only to his family, Associates and the 6th Assembly, but also to the entire people of Ekiti State.

The Institute therefore pray God to grant the immediate family and all the people of the State, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, as it also prays that God should console and comfort everyone he left behind.

The NIPR further observed that it will not be out of place for the Ekiti State Government to immortalise the late Rt. Hon Funminiyi Afuye,  given the fact that the deceased Speaker died in active service.
