The President of Compassionate Caregivers, Pastor Gabriel Ayeleso, has led members of the organisation on an empathy visit to the Catholic Bishop of Ondo Dioceses, Nigeria, Bishop Jude Arogundade.
The visit according to Pastor Ayeleso, though long overdue, was to empathise with the Bishop and the Catholic Church on the dastardly attack on the St.Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State Nigeria on Sunday 5th June, 2022.
In his word, “the Compassionate CAREgivers is a faith- based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), whose vision is to bring the love of God in practical and pragmatic ways to humanity, in this crisis ridden world irrespective of ethnicity, nationality, creed or gender”. Ayeleso prayed for the Bishop, and those affected by the attack.
Compassionate CAREgivers team also shares in the grieves of the Catholic priest and Christian clergies across the country who are victims of kidnapping and attacks.
While responding, Bishop Arogundade appreciated the group for the visit. Noting that the visit was significant and thoughtful as he explained that the attack led to the loss of about 41 lives while many become disabled. Adding that the Catholic Church is still licking the wounds of the attack.
