IPU Lauds FG On Establishment Of Federal College Of Education, Ilawe-Ekiti              … commends Oyebanji, Alawe’s efforts

The National President of Ilawe Improvement Union, Otunba Akintayo Emmanuel Abereowo, and the entire Members of the Union both at home and in the diaspora, heartily appreciate the Federal Government of Nigeria under the leadership of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the establishment of Federal College of Education, Ilawe Ekiti in Ekiti South West Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

A release jointly signed by the IPU National President, Otunba Akintayo Abereowo and Lagos President of the Union, Mr Richard Apata, says in spite of the harsh economic situation in the country, the government has taken the entire community of Ilawe Ekiti and the whole of Ekiti South Senatorial district to a higher phase in terms of human and capital development which is one of the cardinal programmes of the present administration.

According to the release, “this will improve the social and economic life of the people. We therefore solicit the support of Nigerians for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his efforts to bail Nigeria and the citizenry out of the present economic quagmire.

The Union also appreciates Ekiti State Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, for his unflinching support towards the take off of the College in Ilawe. Just as the Union equally commends the effort of the Paramount Ruler of Ilawe-Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, Afuntade I, the Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, for the various developments in the community during his reign.

“We also appreciate the contributions of Ilawe community sons and daughters for their efforts for the successful take off of the school”.

While pledging its support for the college, the Union  also urged members to contribute financially for the successful take off of the Institution as the Union prepares to celebrate its one hundred years of existence.
