Information Minister, Malagi Condoles Akinkunmi’s Family     … urges Nigerian youths to emulate late designer of national flag

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Muhammed Idris Malagi on Monday paid a condolence visit to the family of late Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi, the designer of Nigeria’s flag in Ibadan.

The minister while speaking to journalists after signing the condolence register on behalf of President Bola Tinubu described late Akinkunmi as an iconic symbol of Nigeria’s unity.

According to him, Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi in his twenties designed the national flag based on his patriotism and his faith in one Nigeria.

“Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi is no doubt an iconic symbol of Nigeria’s unity. He was in his twenties when he designed the national flag and today his belief in one Nigeria still stands. Our youths must emulate Pa Taiwo Akinkunmi’s patriotism to Nigeria.”

Speaking further, Idris called on Nigeria’s youths to emulate the late designer of the national flag who according to him had faith in one Nigeria.
