Group Applauds Gbajabiamila’s Contributions To Sustainability Of Democracy In Nigeria     … extols his leadership style.

The Group in a statement explained that the success and gains of democratic system of government in Nigeria since 1999 till date could not be discussed without mentioning the roles and contributions of the Former Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The Nigerians in Diaspora  pointed out that Hon. Gbajabiamila’s consistency and stellar legislative career spanning Minority Leadership, Majority Leadership and Speakership are the great achievements that gave him edge among his contemporaries.

The Group noted that the Chief of Staff to the President always gives priority to the wellbeing of citizens above personal interest which prompted him to embark on projects, especially in health and education sectors to reduce out of school children and provide quality health care services for electorate.

The Nigerians in Diaspora explained that Hon.Gbajabiamila’s commitment to building a successful generation, legislative fellowship, institutionalising and strengthening legislature with legislative library is  exceptional and commendable.

According to the group, while in the Green Chamber, Hon.Gbajabiamila sponsored important  bills  including the Students Loans (Access to Higher Education) Act, 2023 as well coordinated the Assembly to ensure good relationship between executive and legislative arm of government.

“The roles of the Chief of Staff is a thankless one that takes the heat on behalf of his Principal, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, no wonder why all the Staff in the villa always accord him due respect and recognition”.

“During his time in the Green  Chamber, he sponsored  25 Bills in the last Assembly with about 10 of them considered crucial, which was passed by the House”.

“We are throwing out weight behind him due to his transparency and leadership style which is second to non in the history of Nigeria democratic system”.

“The bills  he sponsored include Electric Power Sector Reform Act (Amendment) Bill 2019, Physically Challenged (Empowerment) Bill 2019,  Presidential (Transition) Bill 2019, South West Development Commission (Establishment) Bill 2019. Labour Act (Amendment) Bill 2019, Economic Stimulus Bill 2019, Emergency Economic Stimulus Bill 2020, Quarantine Act (Repeal and Enactment) Bill 2020 and Nigeria Health Infrastructure Development Bank (Establishment among   Bills in 2020”

The Group said, he was entrusted with better position by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu due to his exceptional and brilliant performances in his previous political positions.
