Board Chairman of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Engineer. Kayode Ojo, has congratulated the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Henry Oladele Alake on the occasion of his 68th birthday, describing him as “a tested politician with huge contributions to Ekiti State and Nigeria in general.”
In a statement issued on Sunday by his media aide, Alhaji Deji Aiyelabowo, Ojo noted that the Minister is “a politician with deep developmental ideas, a leader with a big vision of a new society with transformative agenda that appears to be ahead of his time.
“Dr Dele Alake is an engine of ideas with an entrenched philosophical mind that introduced intellectualism into the governance process with his office as the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, his personality and street credibility are only little ways of describing him.
“I pay homage to a brother, mentor, leader and a father whose political reach and impact endears him warmly to the grassroots and whose records from Lagos to Ekiti to the national level are watersheds and landmarks on their own.
“We cannot wish away your huge contributions to our dear Ekiti State and national developments.
It is on this note that I associate with you on this occasion of your 68th birthday, happy birthday and wishing you very many happy returns,”the statement concluded.
The FUOYE Board Chairman prayed for good health and long life for the Minister and urged him not to relent in his service to God and humanity.
